Martin lives in South Manchester and has supported Mental Health Motorbike from the beginning. IT consultant and designer by day much of his spare time is spent at a tour guide, trip planner, author and travel journalist. Martin is one of our trained MHFA members. I recently returned to biking after a 16 year break! Hence, I’m currently riding a Suzuki V-Strom 250cc until I get my confidence back. The bike is awesome and Im enjoying being back in the saddle.

My husband has a bike too. When we’re not biking we’re spending time as a family and walking our dogs.  

After riding pillion for a few years and loving the biking community I decided to do my CBT and DAS tests – at 52! Being on the bike is a great antidote to every day life where I work as an HR/Equality, Diversity and Inclusion specialist in a Scottish College.

Hey all, I completed the MHFA course and really loving being part of the team already.

Always had a keen interest in mental health and have had my own struggles and really hope my training will help me support and inspire others.

I’m already the mental health campaigner at work and can’t wait to get out on the road promoting our work, values and support streams at events.

I’m a publican of a biker friendly pub in Dorset and we hold bike nights every tuesday under pre covid circumstances.

I’m Jack, from Leeds. Currently on a ninja 400. I’m a qualified MHFA through MHM. You’ll often find me getting lost on some new roads or lost in some music, sometimes simultaneously.

I completed the Mental Health First Aid training back in November 2020, looking forward to getting more involved and using those skills.

Hi All, I did MHFA February 2021, has been busy month and some since, had to put what learned into practice already. Best course I did.
I live in Redditch Worcestershire,  ride with Curvy Riders (all female bikers group) and am Worcestershire region Rep. Am going through IAMRS advanced rider training, via RAMG (Redditch advanced motorcycle group) I am Associate Ambassador for them, and hoping to use my voice with both groups to support MHM and hope we can work together to promote mental health to ALL Bikers.

Having personally struggled and have family members too, I hope to spread the word far and wide.

Hi I’m Gary, did my MHFA March 2021, so impressed with what this group is doing I just had to get more engaged. Completing the course has made me so much more aware and provided me the confidence to step up and support where needed. 

On a personal note, I live with my family in Romsey, not far from Southampton. I ride a R1250GSA and am a member of a couple of local groups that hold regular events (once we’re out of lockdown).

I hope to be able to promote mental health MHM at their events. Looking forward to meeting you all out on the road as and when we’re able.

Hi, I’m Kay. Completed the MHFA course March 2021. Thought it was excellent and have already put some ideas to good use.

I’m a driving instructor and have a lot of students who struggle with anxiety &/or test nerves. My dad’s been a biker all his life. I passed my bike test in 2007 but didn’t have an opportunity to buy until 2018. It’s only a 125 and I’m definitely still at the novice stage,  but looking forward to gaining confidence on it.

A few of my pupils are bikers and I’ve got an  MHM sticker in my car, which has prompted discussions. Definitely looking to support MHM any way I can
