Different Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer at an event
This year we aim to do over 200 face to face events, presentations and activities across the UK. To do this we need a team of committed volunteers. Priority normally goes to those with a valid mental health first aid certificate. All the events are advertised on our events calendar and they include a link on more info button where you can volunteer
Give some pro-bono support
We are still a small unfunded charity doing incredible life saving work. If you have a skill are a company with a strong community ethos why not offer us some pro bono support? In the past we have had help from solicitors, the motorbike industry, health professional and ICT specialists. This support can really make a difference.
Become a Regional Coordinator
Our Regional Coordinators (RC) play a very strategic role within the charity. The UK is split into 53 areas (normally a county) and each of those areas has a RC who will be the link person for activity and events in this region. They will oversee a team of Area Coordinators and are the interface from the Trustees to the volunteers. This role normally needs people with a little more time to give.
Mental Health First Aid Volunteer
We train lots of mental health first aiders each year and then we are keen to activate them as volunteers using this qualification. There are lots of ways to volunteer, at events giving support, helping with future training, acting as a peer support group moderator or doing some one to one mental health first aid sessions. To find out more once you have done your training email us.
